* Best Match Attended *
Newcastle United 5v1 Sunderland - 31st October. Premier League
I’ve carefully scrutinised every game attended in 2010 and without doubt the best match was the Tyne-wear derby on Halloween. This isn’t a biased view due to the result and the opposition, this is genuinely the best 90 minutes of football I’ve seen over the last year.

* Goal of the Year *
Jose Enrique v Nottingham Forest - 29th March, Championship.
One of my favourite United players scored his first (and only) ever goal in this top two clash with Nottingham Forest. The goal came in injury time and capped off a great performance, by Enrique and his team mates which took the Toon another step closer to a swift return to the Premier League.
A fans view of the goal from the Leazers End.

* Favourite Uncharted Senior Ground *
Roots Hall - Southend United
I main thing I liked about Roots Hall was all the nooks and crannies with entrances to each end set in the surrounding neighbourhood. A good old fashioned community based football ground, which sadly are becoming a thing of the past, with this old ground being yet another with an uncertain future.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Favourite Uncharted Non-League Ground *
Parkside - Kendal Town
A ground with plenty of character in a lovely setting, with a great club house and a friendly welcome. Well what is there not to like?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Favourite 'My Matchday' *
My Matchday - 256 Raydale Park
It wasn’t particularly Gretna itself, although everyone we spoke to in the wee Border town seemed pleasant enough. This matchday was all about the 13 bar pub crawl spread over five towns and villages as part of my birthday weekend.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* Best Pre-match Bevvy *
Pump Room - Halifax
Great real ale pub just a stones throw from The Shay, with the added bonus of a Geordie landlady. One I’d highly recommended and one day hopefully return to.
Moon Under Water - Leicester Square, London.
Top quality filling (although it was dangerously hot!)

* Silver ‘Spoon Award *
Moon Under Water - Leicester Square, London.
Sandwiched in-between the Odeon Leicester Square and Capital Radio. This Wetherspoons pub has the ideal outside seated area, where you can chill out with a decent pint and watch the busy life of the City of London go by.
